What is in the catalogue ?

The catalogue is not yet complete but we are adding material to it all the time. If you can’t find what you are looking for, please contact us and we will do our best to help.

Material currently in the on-line catalogue includes:

• The Manchester Regiment Archive Collection
• The archives of Tameside Metropolitan Borough Council (established 1974)
• The archives of all the constituent local authorities which went to make up Tameside in 1974
• Part of the deposited archive collections (DD collections)
• Books acquired after 2005
• The catalogue for the oral histories conducted in 2004 as part of the Heritage Lottery Funded Oral History Project with Tameside's black and minority ethnic communities
• Our series of journals

Material not yet included in the on-line catalogue:

• The Ephemera Collection
• Oral history series including the Manchester Studies Collection and the Tameside Oral History Collections
• Some archive collections of school records and church records
• Some deposited archive collections such as trades unions and some business collections
• Some of the book collection

We are in the process of transferring our paper catalogues to this on-line catalogue, so please keep checking back for additions. Similarly, we are always adding new books and archives to the catalogue.
