G. Rifle Club membership card, subscription book for 10th E. Lancs (Cheetham) Home Guard Bn. and a letter written in Polish / Ukrainian (using Latin script) to all Ukrainian members of the Home Guard.

AdminHistory10th East Lancashire (Cheetham) Home Guard Battalion was affiliated to and badged to the Manchester Regiment. It was one of the Home Guard Battalions established in 1952 and then placed on reserve in 1955 during the time of the Civil Defence movement. Mr Lachockyj was Ukrainian and came to England from Rimini as a displaced person. He joined the Home Guard. His daughter (the depositor) was born in Ashton-under-Lyne and the family later lived in Cheetham Hill, Manchester.
