AdminHistoryBorn in Oct 1887, Ernest Dennett enlisted in the Manchester Regiment at Ashton-under-Lyne on 22 Jan 1906. He was transferred to the Army reserve in Jan 1913 after having served as an officer's servant, sergeant-majors servant and a waiter in both the officers' mess and sergeants' mess. He later served in 1914-1918 war at the rank of Sergeant.
