Description | Papers and photgraphs realting to the three Green brothers who served with the Manchester Regiment collectively from 1894 to around 1918. Albert Green first served with the 3rd Volunteer Battalion from 12/11/1894 to 31/3/1908, therafter he served in the 9th Battalion as Sergeant and then the Territorial Army. Harold Green was a Lance Sergeant in the 3rd Volunteer Battalion from 29/5/1903 to 31/3/1908. Arthur Green served with the 9th Battalion (enlistment date not known) as a Drummer and achieved the rank of Corporal. He was killed in the war.
