Talks about Christmas preparations, weather, architecture, clerical work, a funeral of a French noblewoman and the beauty of the sky scenes. 23rd Dec 1914 to Aunt Edith. Once again thanks her for her letters, and talks about English newspapers, a "lack of news", the fighting spirit of the Arabs, the deployment of the New Zealand and Australian contingents, and the grand procession of the Sultan.
