DescriptionHandwritten letter addressed to 'Dear Bert' from his brother Reg, 4 Renshaw Street, Chorlton-on-Medlock. Writer is writing from his workplace - Velvet Dept., H. Whitworth Ltd., 115 Princess St, Manchester. He discusses football and tells Cpl. Willmott that [Manchester] City are doing very well having 'slapped it up [Manchester] United both times and more wins to come.' Tells Cpl. Willmott that they recieve letters regularly from 'William Dell' and 'William Perry' as well as from Mr. Brown, curate of St. John's and now chaplain to the K.O.R. B. He asks if Cpl. Willmott's old firm - William's ever wriote to him and says that if not then Cpl. Willmott should write to them. He ends by saying that he has met a Belgian who was in the same prison camp as Cpl. Willmott and recollects him slightly. Envelope is attached.
