DescriptionHandwritten letter addressed to 'Dear Brother' from 'Your Loving Brother Reg', 4 Renshaw Street, Greenheys, Manchester. Writer tells Cpl. Willmott that he has just recovered from an attack of neuralgia and has also taken up the game of bowls. Writer tells Cpl. Willmott that he has "...no heart for anything..." as his best friends are all in the army and he is being asked "...why are you not in Khaki..." Writer tells Cpl. Willmott that he is busy at work and that their father is expecting his call-up papers. Also complains of difficulty involved in shopping during the war. Writes about Miss F. Strange and Miss J. Goodwin visiting the family and about his social life. Writes that he has heard of an agreement between the warring armies to release prisoners of war after eighteen months. Tells Cpl. Willmott about a birthday present received from their mother and ends by telling him that Joe Tomlinson is now a prisoner of war.
