TitleCorporal William Albert Willmott 47284 17th Battalion, The Manchester Regiment
DescriptionHandwritten letter addressed to 'Dear Albert' on one page from 'Father', and 'My Big Brother' from 'Edna and Doris'on the reverse. 1) Cpl. Willmott's father writes that he will be sending him some (sheet) musiv with his next parcel and would like to hear from Cpl. Willmott about what he is doing regarding the church and the stage. He tells Cpl. Willmott that Mr. Brown the curate is missing but he does not know what has happened to him. Cpl. Willmott's father also writes that Alf Billcliff is in hospital in Englkand and is home on leave and wishes to be remembered. He finishes by telling Cpl. Willmott that he will be leaving his job at Darby & Co. as they want to make way for discharged soldiers. 2) Cpl. Willmott's sister Edna writes that she wishes she could see him again and that she will soon be 9 years old and will be having a birthday party. She also tells Cpl. Willmott about the presents she is getting and about the whit walks and about a visit to the dentist.
