Bridges Church of England Chaplain at Hospital No. 4 Canadian C.C.S., reporting Pte Steeles admission to the hospital from shell wounds on 4 October 1918 and his death on 7 October 1918. The letters are dated 5 October and 8 October 1918 respectively;note of sympathy from the King sent by the Secretary of State for War; a letter from the Infantry Record Office, Fulwood Barracks, Preston to Mrs Steele informing her that Private Steele has been buried at Duisans British Cemetery; blank special Pass and Field Service Postcards; envelope addressed to Mr. Thomas Steele, 65 Norway Street, Langworthy Road, Seedley, Manchester and dated 22 December 1930; and printouts from 'Soldiers Died In The Great War' and the Commonwealth War Graves Commission website for Private Steele.
