Description | The Fresh Hope Fresh Air exhibition tells the story of how Hattersley estate came into being and what it was like to move away from the city centre to start a new life in the country. The exhibition is made up of 10 boards of quotes, photographs, historical information and newspaper clippings. The exhibition also includes a flat screen monitor which allows visitors to watch the 15 minute film and full interviews with some original residents. While the exhibiton was on at Hattersley Community Centre (June 11th - July 3rd 2008) many school children visited and took part in sessions led by the project ambassadors about what life was like living in Manchester and then moving to a brand new community. |
