| Description | An affectionate hand written letter to J.A. Chisolm Taylor from his father dated 8th June, 1915. The letter is headed 'Taylor & Simister, Architects and Surveyors.' The envelope is also attached and addressed to Lieu. J.A.Chisolm Taylor, 10th Battalion, Manchester Regiment, East Lancashire Division, Mediterranean Expeditionary Force. It has two stamps, one dated 24th June, 1915 in Cairo and one dated 25th June, 1915 in Alexandria. Citadel Hospital, Cairo has been written in pencil and scored out. Lieut. Taylor was known to be in this hospital in April, 1915 and may have been moved by June. |
