  <dc:description>Dark red leather photo album with dragon emblem on cover featuring unofficial photographs and a scrapbook kept by Ronnie Barrett during his time in Malaya.  Photos are of the Selarang Barracks, Malaya, official parades, boxing, army vehicles, soldiers off- duty, on board ship, in the jungle in military uniform with weapons and soldiers at play. The album includes magazine cut-outs of female stars of the time and some Malayan stamps. There is also a page containing the flag of the Manchesters and a list of the battles fought by the 1st Battalion. The album is personal and a visual diary of the soldier's time in Malaya. </dc:description>
